How does ordering work?

All ordering is done on my website, Revampedthreadco.com

Where do you ship?

At this time I am only able to offer US shipping

How are your pieces sized?

Working with secondhand clothing means every item has unique sizing and measurements. Please refer to the garment listing where I will include the Pit-to-pit measurement (PTP), as well as length of the garment. Don’t hesitate to reach out via Instagram to ask any questions about sizing as all sales are final.

(ptp = pit to pit measurement of the garment taken flat, double that number for the bust/chest circumference of the top/dress)

How are things priced?

Items are generally priced based on the labor it takes to create each piece. The price for each item also supports my ability to keep this website up and running, purchase additional secondhand materials, equipment upkeep (like my sewing machines), and other business expenses. Price will vary per item but generally will be around the following price points:

Earrings: $25-$40

De-branded Tees: $45-$55

Detachable Collars:: $38+

Dress-Shirt-Dresses: $220+

Do you accept returns or exchanges?

I am not able to accommodate returns or exchanges, I am a one-person team and all sales are final! So please double check measurements before ordering.

Where do you get your materials?

Revamped Thread Co items are made from second hand materials - with as few exceptions as possible. the yarn i use is sourced from Ebay and thrift stores, and the clothing I use is from thrift stores in the Chicago area. I also purchase thread, embroidery floss, buttons, and other notions second hand. Some exceptions include the jump rings and jewelry pieces (such as earring hooks).

All second hand clothing used is washed and dried prior to construction.

How do I care for my Revamped Thread Co Garment?

Like any garment purchased second-hand, these items have been through the dryer before, however if you want to extend the life of your garment, I highly recommend washing cold and hanging to dry. It’s better for most clothing - and better for the environment!

Can I get a custom piece?

Absolutely! I’ll be putting content out in September 2023 about custom pieces, commissions, custom mending and more. If you have a selection of shirts that you want made into a dress, or another sentimental piece of clothing or fabric like a tee shirt, tea-towel, quilt, afghan, bedsheets, you name it - let’s make something together! Use the contact form or reach out to me on Instagram.

Can I make something inspired by your work?

Of course - though I ask that you are a good sport and please do not sell items exactly replicating what I have created. I’ll be providing tutorials to create your own dress-shirt-dress before the end of 2023.

Since items are made from second-hand clothing, I try my hardest to check for potential wear and tear, damage, or stains. It is totally possible for me to miss something - and this is the chance we take when using reclaimed materials. If you find a flaw in your piece that for some reason renders it unwearable for you - please reach out respectfully and we can chat about it!
